Some say the the first picnic was held in 1890. With dinners reportedly costing $.25.
The parish held a 2-day picnic in 1954, but it was decided after that, to hold it to only one day, and since that time the picnic has been set annually on the last Saturday in July.
Old fashioned country dinner consisting of fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, kettle beef, potatoes, green beans, corn, fresh garden vegetables homemade breads and desserts .... isn't your mouth watering just thinking about it?
This year will be Carry Out Only (no dine in). Serving between 3:00 and 8:00 pm.
Adults $ -- Children 6-15 $
This year will be the 6th Annual Leopold Picnic Antique Tractor Ride.

The historic fish pond, other games and face painting will occupy the kids so the adults can visit with friends and neighbors.
Don't forget about dessert! The passed on recipe of that creamy and bursting with vanilla flavor homemade ice cream is a must have!

St. Anthony's Church in Glennon will be starting renovations on the interior of the church this month.
Effective Saturday, September 23 the 5 PM Saturday Mass will be held at St. John's in Leopold until further notice.
