Sharing CHrist's love through creative hearts and hands

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a biblical-inspired way to bring the love of Christ to those who are experiencing a turning point in their personal life or life of faith.  The expression of this love is shown by making a prayer shawl for that person in need.  Those who receive a prayer shawl receive it as a transcendent expression of that person’s care, joy, warmth, and comfort for them.  It is a very personal way of sharing our “love of God and neighbor.”

A prayer shawl can be given for many reasons such as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress, birthing, during an illness or recovery, wedding, a graduation or anniversary.

To learn more and become part of this ministry, please join us on the first and third Tuesdays of each month in St. John’s basement meeting room from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
